Ghostbusters super fan and 3D print enthusiast making GB1 and TVG ribbon cables for your proton pack project!

Hello! My name is Jordan and like many others I’m a Ghostbusters super fan and love making GB props at home with my 3D printer. While making my full scale proton pack I came into an issue, finding a GB1 style ribbon cable is hard to find and if you do, they can be pretty pricey. So, I decided to make my own! And in that process I ended up with A LOT of extra material so I decided to share my surplus with other GB fans who want a GB1 ribbon cable but don’t want to go through all the trouble to make one at home! I’m making near screen perfect GB1 style cables at my home workshop for those that want one but don’t want to wait long and don’t mind a few blemishes here and there. I make every single cable by hand with no machine assistance other than a two vise jig I constructed myself. Since they’re made by hand, there may be some slight blemishes in the shrink film, that I assure you, will be unnoticeable once twisted and applied to your proton pack.

These two sizes are my final production forms made on my newly constructed setup, they are all approximately cut at 30 inches in length and roughly 2 3/8″ in width for the Spirit Pack, and 2 7/8″ in width for the 1:1 scale pack size (home 3D printed, Mack’s Factory, Ben of Kent), uniformly throughout the cable. Though uniform in size and width, there may still be some minor wrinkles in the shrink wrap but very minimal.

These are NOT professionally made with a machine, but each is made by hand with love from a fellow Ghostbuster fan who just wants to share my talent for cable making with other Ghostbuster prop makers.
